RUDDER FILLET FAIRING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

R R R 1. General_______ The rudder fillet fairing is installed at the lower end of the rudder. It fills the gap between the rudder and the fuselage when the rudder is in a neutral position.
R 2. Component Location__________________ (Ref. Fig. 001)
R R R R 3. Description___________ The rudder fillet fairing is triangular.It is installed with countersunk screws. The fairing assembly is made of laminations of glass-fiber reinforced plastic.

A. Get Access
(1)
Put the rudder pedals in a neutral position.
(2)
Make sure that the rudder trim control is set at the zero position.
(3)
Put the warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(4)
Put the access platform in position at Zone 326.
