-HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAKS.
IF HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAKS OCCUR OR IF YOU LET HYDRAULIC FLUID
FALL, YOU MUST CLEAN IT UP IMMEDIATELY. HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN
CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1)
Disconnect the flexible hoses (38) and (39).
(2)
Put hydraulic blanking caps on the disconnected hose ends.
(3)
Remove the unwanted hydraulic fluid (Ref. TASK 51-00-00-615-002). Subtask 55-10-11-010-050
D. Remove Struts
(1)
Remove the diagonal support struts (Ref. TASK 53-53-11-000-001). Subtask 55-10-11-010-051
E. Remove Support Fittings
(1) Remove the THS support fittings at the pivot points of the horizontal stablizer (Ref. TASK 53-56-11-000-001).

F. Remove Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer
(1) Disconnect the lower attachment of the THS actuator (Ref. TASK 27-44-51-000-001)
(2) Move THS clear of aircraft and lower onto the THS support cradle. Subtask 55-10-11-942-050
G. Remove Support Equipment R (1) Remove the SLING-THS (98D55109005000).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-002), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2)
Make sure that the PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING is in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
(3)
Make sure that the warning notices are in position in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
