Make sure that the warning notices are in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
(5)
Make sure that the access platforms are in position at zone 334 and/or zone 344.
(6)
Make sure that the horizontal stabilizer trailing edge panels have been removed as necessary (Ref. TASK 55-13-11-000-001).
(7)
Make sure that the elevator leading edge panels have been removed as necessary (Ref. TASK 55-22-11-000-001).

R A. Installation of the Hinge Arm End Fittings
R R (1) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005) to the mating surfaces of the hinge arm fitting (1) and the hinge support No. 1.
R (2) Put the hinge arm end fitting (1) in position on the hinge arm (6).
R (3) Install the bolts (5)and wet with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001).,
R (4) Install the washers (4) and the nuts (3).
R (5) Safety the nuts (3) with new cotter pins (2)
R R (6) Connect the hinge arm end fitting (1) to its corresponding attach fitting (7) (Ref. TASK 27-34-41-400-001).

R B. Installation of the Hinge Arm End Fitting No 4
R R (1) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005) to the mating surfaces of the hinge arm fitting (42) and the hinge support No. 4.
R (2) Put the hinge arm end fitting (9) in position on the hinge arm (14).
R (3) Install the bolts (9) and wet with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001).
R (4) Install the washers (12) and the nuts (11).
R (5) Safety the nuts (11) with new cotter pins (10).
R R (6) Connect the hinge arm end fitting (9) to the attach fitting (15) (Ref. TASK 27-34-41-400-001).
R (7) Install the elevator support strut (8) (Ref. TASK 55-16-48-400-001).
