R  Each rib has anchor nuts for the installation of the panel assemblies 
R  and the access panels. 
R  C. Panel Assemblies. 
R  - The panel assemblies are installed to the trailing edge ribs and to the 
R  rear edge of the upper and lower shell. Countersunk screws attach the 
R  panel assemblies to these components. The panels are made of CFRP on a 
R  honeycomb core. 
R  D. Access Panels. 
R  - The access panels are installed to the ribs and the rear edge of the 
R  lower shell. Countersunk screws attach the panels to these components. 
R  The panels have piano hinges to make access easier. The panels are made 
R  of CFRP on a honeycomb core. 
R  E. Lightening Strike Protection. 
R  - The TE servoactuator access panels and panel assemblies are made from a 
R  Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) internal facing, a honeycomb 
R  core, and an aluminum external facing. The aluminum facing is bonded 
R  and riveted to the internal facing of the panel. Bonding straps 
R  complete the installation and form a Faraday screen around the 
R  servo-actuator.

R F. THS Trailing-edge Sealing.
R - There are sealing strips installed along the rear edge of the panel
R assemblies and the access panels. They keep dirt out of the trailing
R edge.
