D. Safety Precautions
(1)
Put the warning notices in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(2)
Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
(3)
Put the access platform in position at zone 335 for the left hand elevator and/or zone 345 for the right hand elevator.

A. Removal
(1)
Remove the Elevator Tips
(a)
If you replace the elevator tips (2) and to prevent injuries, remove the static dischargers (4) (Ref. TASK 23-61-41-000-001)
(b)
Remove the horizontal stabilizer tips 332AB and 342AB as necessary (Ref. TASK 55-14-11-000-001)
(c)
Remove the screws (1).
(d)
Carefully remove the elevator tips (2).
(2)
Remove the Elevator End Caps
(a)
Remove the applicable elevator (Ref. TASK 27-34-41-000-001).
(b)
Remove the screws (1).
(c)
Carefully remove the elevator end caps (3).
