RUDDER TIP - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______ The rudder tip is the uppermost fairing of the rudder. It has the designation 326AT.
2. Component Location__________________ (Ref. Fig. 001)
R R R R 3. Description___________ The rudder tip is made of light alloy. It is fitted to the left and right side shells and the upper rib. Screws attach it. The rudder tip is also a lightning conductor. A retainer for a static discharger is installed on top of the tip.

R (1) Carefully remove the sealant around the rudder tip.
R (2) Remove the screws (5), the washers (4) and the nuts (3).
R (3) Remove the screws (6) and the rudder tip (1).
R (4) Remove the static discharger (2) (Ref. TASK 23-61-41-000-001).
