(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
R (2) Close the access panel 325DL (Ref. TASK 55-33-13-410-002).
R (3) Install the access panel 325EL (Ref. TASK 55-33-13-410-002).
R R (4) Install the vertical stabilizer tip 324AT (Ref. TASK 55-34-11-400-001).
R (5) Remove the access platform(s).
R (6) Remove the warning notice(s).
R (7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

VERTICAL STABILIZER SPAR BOX - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______
The vertical stabilizer spar box is the primary structural component of the
vertical stabilizer. All other components of the vertical stabilizer are
attached to it.

R A. Spar Box Structure
R (1) The vertical stabilizer spar box has a front, center and rear spar,
R ribs and side shells. All components are made of laminations of the
R Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP).
R (2) Seven ruddre hinge arms, the hinge arm fittings and three actuator
R fittings are made of aluminum alloy. They are attached to the rear
R spar and the side shells. Hi-Lok fasteners are used to attach them.
R (3) The left-hand and right-hand side shells are made by a
R one-shot-bonding technique. The skin, stringers, webs and three
R fuselage attachment fittings are one unit.
R (4) The front spar and the rear spar are riveted between the two side
R shells. Hi-Lok rivets are used for the installation. The spars have a
