 1. General_______
 The rudder attach fittings are installed at the front spar of the rudder.
 There are seven rudder attach fittings and three actuator attach fittings.

R  A. Attach Fittings Location 
R  (1) The rudder attach fittings attach the rudder to hinge arms at the 
R  rear spar of the vertical stabilizer. 
R  (2) They are attached in line with the ribs of the vertical stabilizer 
R  spar-box as follows: 
R  - the attach fitting No. 1 in line with rib No. 2, 
R  - the attach fitting No. 2 in line with rib No. 4, 
R  - the attach fitting No. 3 in line with rib No. 5, 
R  - the attach fitting No. 4 in line with rib No. 6, 
R  - the attach fitting No. 5 in line with rib No. 7, 
R  - the attach fitting No. 6 in line with rib No. 9, 
R  - the attach fitting No. 7 in line with rib No. 11. 
R  (3) The actuator attach fittings AC1, AC2 and AC3 attach the rudder to 
R  the actuator of the servo control units. They are installed between 
R  the rudder attach fitting No. 2 and the rudder attach fitting No. 5. 
R  (4) All the attach fittings are made of aluminum alloy. They are riveted 
R  to the front spar and to the side shells of the rudder. Hi-Loks are 
R  used for the installation. 
R  (5) The hinge bolts through the bearings connect the rudder to the hinge 
R  arms of the vertical stabilizer spar-box. 
R  (6) Only the attach fitting No. 6 holds the vertical load of the rudder. 
R  (7) The attach fitting No. 1 is installed together with a fork for the 
R  connection of the rudder position transmitter.
