A. Install the rudder hinge bearing No. 6.
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 55-46-11-991-001)
(1)
Remove the sealant from the rudder attach fitting with the nonmetallic scraper and CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003).
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the bearing (2). NOTE : Make sure that the outer surfaces stay clean.

Install the bearing (2) in the rudder attach fitting.
(7)
Install the retaining ring (3) and the ring nut (4). TORQUE the ring nut (4) to 6.0 m.daN (44.24 lbf.ft) with the TOOL SET - R/I RUDDER BEARING NO. 6.

Safety the ring nut (4) with the retaining ring (3). WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE

Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) around the bearing (2) and the ring nut (4).
(10) Install the hinge arm fitting (Ref. TASK 55-36-41-400-001).
(11) Install the rudder support strut (Ref. TASK 55-36-48-400-001). Subtask 55-46-11-865-052
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 19CE1, 19CE2, 19CE3, 15CE1, 16CE1, 15CE2, 16CE2, 5CC1, 5CC2, 14CC1, 14CC2, 15CC, 22CE, 21CE1, 21CE2, 21CE3.

Remove the warning notice(s).
(5)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
