Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

On the panel 400VU:

make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
-
make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4)
Make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.

Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable false spar at the alternate-brake servovalve manifold.
(2)
Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3)
Make sure that the pressure in the brake accumulator of the Yellow hydraulic system is at zero.

(4) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the PTU is disconnected (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4)
Remove the blanking caps from the hydraulic and the electrical connectors.
