3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the doors of the nose gear are open (Ref. TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2)
Make sure that the access platform is in position.
(3)
Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(4)
Make sure that the warning notice is in position on the control lever.
(5)
Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Roller Assy (8)
(1)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) on the plate (9).
(2)
Lubricate the shafts of the roller (8) with COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-022).
(3)
Install the roller (7).
(4)
Install the plate (9), the two bolts (10) and nuts (11) and tighten.

B. Installation of the Brake Band/Spring Assy (6)
(1)
Lubricate the bolts (14) and (1) with COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-022).
(2)
Install the brake band/spring assy (6), the bolt (14), the washer
(13) and the nut (12) and tighten.
(3)
Safety the nut (12) with a new cotter pin (15).
(4)
Install the spacer (5) and the brake/band spring assy (6).
(5)
Install the washer (7), the bolt (1), the washer (2) and the nut (4) and tighten.
(6)
Safety the nut (4) with a new cotter pin (3).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Remove the access platform.
(2)
Close the doors of the nose gear (Ref. TASK 32-22-00-410-001). Subtask 32-42-51-942-051
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s). Subtask 32-42-51-942-050
C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
