This shuts off port B from port C and expels any excess fluid from port C
to reservoir return B.
Full pressure is delivered at port D. This causes:
- operation of the secondary slide valve of the brake automatic selector
to isolate the return line of the alternate brake servovalve. This
prevents leakage of fluid to the Yellow reservoir. - operation of the parking-brake operated valve. The mechanism which includes electrical parts is installed in a sealed case. A thermal fuse installed in the case prevents overheating of the linear transmitter coil. The fuse is visible through a transparent cover. This cover is attached by screws. It is possible to remove this cover to reset the fuse. (Ref. Fig. 011)

C. Parking-Brake Operated Valve (Ref. Fig. 012) The parking-brake operated valve is installed between the brake automatic selector and the dual valve of the Alternate brake distribution. It shuts off supply to the Alternate brake system to prevent leakage through the distribution dual valve. Parking brake pressure is delivered through port C.

D. Parking Brake Pressure Switch (86GG) This pressure switch is installed at port B of the Dual Shutle Valve in the high pressure line. The pressure switch indicates to the braking control system (BSCU) that the parking brake pressure is available. With the PARK BRK control switch in the ON position, if the parking brake pressure decreases to less than 35 bar (507.6319 psi), the system gives back Normal Braking control via the brake pedals.

______________________________________________________________
1. General_______
(Ref. Fig. 001)
The parking/ultimate emergency braking system is an electrohydraulic system. Its primary function is to prevent movement of the aircraft when it is parked. It can also be used in an emergency mode to stop the aircraft if control in all the other braking modes (Ref. 32-42-00), (Ref. 32-43-00) and (Ref. 32-44-00) is not available. Use of the parking brake overrides all other braking systems when the parking brake pressure is available.
