Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003A), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003B), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003C) or HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003D) to the threads of the throttle valve (1).

(6) Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-00), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003A), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003B), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003C) or HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003D) to the new packing (3).

A. Installation of the Trottle Valve (1)
(1)
Remove the blanking plugs.
(2)
Put the packing (3) on the throttle valve (1).
(3)
Install the throttle valve (1) in the elbow (4).
CAUTION : BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE THROTTLE VALVE. A RED
_______ ARROW, IDENTIFIED AS 'F' IS SHOWN ON SOME THROTTLE VALVES. THE ARROW SHOWS THE DIRECTION OF THE THROTTLE AND NOT THE DIRECTION OF THE FLOW. THUS, WHEN YOU INSTALL THE THROTTLE VALVE, MAKE SURE THAT THE ARROW POINTS AWAY FROM THE AUTOMATIC SELECTOR. IF YOU INSTALL THE THROTTLE VALVE IN THE INCORRECT DIRECTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SYSTEM.
(4)
TORQUE the throttle valve (1) to between 3.19 and 3.47 m.daN (23.52 and 25.58 lbf.ft).
(5)
Put the elbow (4) with the throttle valve (1) in position and connect the connectors (2) and (5) to the throttle valve (1) and the automatic selector (6).
(6)
TORQUE the connectors (2) and (5) to between 5.4 and 5.9 m.daN (39.82 and 43.51 lbf.ft).
(7)
Mark the connections with PAINTS FOR DETAIL (INTERNAL AND EXTERN AL) (Material No. 07-010).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1701GK, 1702GK, 1GG, 2GG, 3GG, 4GG.

(1) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-002). Subtask 32-42-76-710-050
D. Test
(1)
Do the operational test of the normal braking system (Ref. TASK 32-42-00-710-001).

Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the throttle valve 2581GM.

Apply corrosion protection to the connectors (2) and (5) and the adjacent areas (Ref. TASK 51-75-13-916-002).

Remove the container.

Remove the warning notice(s).

Remove the access platform(s).
(5)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(6)
Close the right MLG door (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
