A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) and CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

(4) If you install a new manifold (19), remove the blanking plugs and install these items:
-
the pressure transducers (17) and (18) (Ref. TASK 32-42-21-400-001)
-
the safety valves (3) (Ref. TASK 32-42-36-400-001)
-
the servovalves (7) and (12) (Ref. TASK 32-42-48-400-001).

B. Installation of the Normal-Brake Servovalve Manifold Assembly
(1)
Remove the blanking plugs from the hydraulic line end-fittings and the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(2)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(3)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the interfaces of the normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly and the mounting lugs of the MLG leg assembly.
NOTE : You must install the normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly
____ on to the MLG mounting lugs while the sealant is wet.
(4)
Hold the normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly in position on the MLG leg mounting lugs.
(5)
Install the parts that follow:
-
the brackets (8) and (16)
-
the bonding strap (15) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004)
-
the new tab washers (9)
-
the bolts (10).
(6)
TORQUE the bolts (10) to between 1.6 and 1.8 m.daN (11.79 and 13.27 lbf.ft).
(7)
Bend the ends of the tab washers (9) to lock the bolts (10).
(8)
Install the electrical harnesses on the brackets (8) and (16) (Ref. TASK 32-11-43-400-002).
(9)
Connect the hydraulic unions (1), (2), (4) and (5).
(10)
TORQUE the hydraulic unions (1), (4) and (5) to between 2.4 and 2.8 m.daN (17.69 and 20.64 lbf.ft).
(11)
TORQUE the hydraulic union (2) to between 4.79 and 5.23 m.daN (35.32 and 38.56 lbf.ft).

(12) Install the electrical connectors: CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE SERVO-VALVE AND PRESSURE-TRANSDUCER
_______ ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO THEIR RELATED EQUIPMENT. IF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE INCORRECTLY CONNECTED, DAMAGE TO THE BRAKE ANTI-SKID SYSTEM WILL OCCUR.
(a)
Identify and connect each electrical connector (6) and (11) to its related servo-valve (7) and (12).
(b)
Identify and connect each electrical connector (13) and (14) to its related pressure-transducer (17) and (18).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1GG, 2GG, 3GG, 4GG, 1702GK.

D. Preparation for Test
(1)
Connect the Isolation Coupling of the PTU (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2)
Bleed the normal brake system (Ref. TASK 32-42-00-870-001).
(3)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

E. Test
(1)
Do an operational test of the normal brake system (Ref. TASK 32-42-00-710-001).
(2)
Do an operational test of the anti-skid inhibition (Ref. TASK 32-42-00-710-003).
(3)
Make sure that there are no leaks from the normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly and the hydraulic unions.
