A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(2)
Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
On the panel 400VU:
-make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
-put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4)
Put a warning notice on the ground service connection to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow and Green hydraulic systems.
(5)
Operate the brake pedals until the brake accumulator of the yellow hydraulic system is at zero.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2)
Make sure that the Yellow and Green hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

(3) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(2)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3)
Remove the screws (2) and the direct drive valve (3). Make sure that the dowel stays with the direct drive valve (3).
