A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
(2)
Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

(3)
On the panel 400VU:
-
make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
-
make sure that the warning notice is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4)
Make sure that warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure the the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2)
Make sure that the Green hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the applicable normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly.
(4)
Make sure the Isolation Coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) and CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4)
If you install a new manifold (22), remove the blanking plugs and install these items:
-
the pressure transducers (20) and (21) (Ref. TASK 32-42-21-400-001)
-
the safety valves (6) (Ref. TASK 32-42-36-400-001)
-
the servovalves (10) and (15) (Ref. TASK 32-42-48-400-001).

B. Installation of the Normal-Brake Servovalve Manifold Assembly
(1)
Remove the blanking plugs from the hydraulic line end-fittings and the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(2)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(3)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the interfaces of the normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly and the mounting brackets.
NOTE : You must install the normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly
____ on to the mounting rail while the sealant is wet.
(4)
Hold the normal-brake servovalve manifold assembly in position on the mounting rail.
(5)
Install the parts that follow:
-
the brackets (11) and (19)
-
the bonding strap (18) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004)
-
the bolts (13)
-
the washers (12)

-
the washers (3)
-
the nuts (4).
(6)
Safety the nuts (4) with the new cotter pins (5).
(7)
Install the electrical harnesses on the brackets (11) and (19) (Ref. TASK 32-11-43-400-002).
(8)
Connect the hydraulic unions (1), (2), (7) and (8).
(9)
TORQUE the hydraulic unions (1), (7) and (8) to between 2.4 and 2.8 m.daN (17.69 and 20.64 lbf.ft).
(10)
TORQUE the hydraulic union (2) to between 4.79 and 5.23 m.daN (35.32 and 38.56 lbf.ft).
(11)
Install the electrical connectors: CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE SERVO-VALVE AND PRESSURE-TRANSDUCER
_______ ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO THEIR RELATED EQUIPMENT. IF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE INCORRECTLY CONNECTED, DAMAGE TO THE BRAKE ANTI-SKID SYSTEM WILL OCCUR.
