Obey the safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001)
(2)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(3) Put the safety barriers in position. Subtask 28-11-00-650-107
B. Fuel Configuration
(1)
Defuel the aircraft (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the fuel that remains, from the aircraft (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position:
-
for the left wing, below zone 540
-
for the right wing, below zone 640.
(2)
Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002) (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001):
- on the left wing 540AB
- on the right wing 640AB.
(3)
Install the HOOK-COVER (RIB 2 SURGE DOORS) (98D57004013000) on the applicable forward surge door:
- on the left wing 540AZ
- on the right wing 640AZ.
(4)
Install the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000) on the applicable aft surge door:
- on the left wing 540BZ
- on the right wing 640BZ.
4. Procedure

(1) Make sure that the clack valves at RIB2 operate freely and through their full movement.

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) from the applicable aft access door 540BZ, 640BZ.
(3)
Carefully close the fuel surge doors 540BZ (640BZ).
(4)
Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB 2 SURGE DOORS) from the applicable forward access door 540AZ, 640AZ.
(5)
Carefully close the fuel surge doors 540AZ (640AZ).
