R C. Fuel Configuration
R (1) The applicable wing tank must be full of fuel for a minimum of 30
R minutes before the test.
R (2) Fully refuel the applicable wing tank (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
R (3) Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-
R 650-003).

R D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
R (1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
R (2) Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER is on the
R slat/flap control lever.
R (3) Extend the spoilers fully (Ref. TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
R (4) Make sure that the COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER is on each of the spoiler
R servo-controls.

R (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
R (2) Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE is on the applicable MLG door
R actuator.
R (3) Put an access platform in the applicable MLG bay below the access
R panel 147AZ, 148AZ.
R (4) Remove the applicable access panel 147AZ, 148AZ, (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-
R 910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
R (5) Put an adjustable access platform below the applicable zone 521(621).
R (6) Put an adjustable access platform below the applicable zone 522(622).
R (7) Put an adjustable access platform in the applicable MLG bay below the
R Wing tank rear spar.
R (8) Put an adjustable access platform below the applicable zone 574(674).
R (9) Put an adjustable access platform below the applicable zone 575(675).
R (10) Remove the applicable leading-edge access-panels 521AB, 521CB, 521EB,
R 522AB, 522CB, 522FB, 522HB, 522JB, 522KB, 522LB, 522NB, 522QB, 621AB,
R 621CB, 621EB, 622AB, 622CB, 622FB, 622HB, 622JB, 622KB, 622LB, 622NB,
R 622QB.
R (11) Remove the applicable trailing edge access panels 574AB, 574BB,
R 575AB, 575BB, 575CB, 575DB, 575EB, 575FB, 575GB, 575HB, 674AB, 674BB,
R 675AB, 675BB, 675CB, 675DB, 675EB, 675FB, 675GB, 675HB.
R (12) Remove the applicable dry-bay access-cover 521AZ, 521BZ, 621AZ, 621BZ
R (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-005).

R A. Visual Inspection
R (1) Look for signs of fuel leakage in these areas:
R - tank seals and sealant
R - structure, brackets and clamps
R - fuel pipelines, couplings, bonded items, brackets and clamps.
R (2) Talcum Powder Procedure:
R WARNING : USE A PROTECTIVE EYE SHIELD/GOGGLES WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED_______
R AIR. DEBRIS AND/OR HIGH PRESSURE AIR CAN DAMAGE YOUR EYES.
R CAUTION : USE THE TALCUM POWDER PROCEDURE ONLY ON THE EXTERNAL_______
R SURFACES OF THE FUEL TANKS.
R (a) Dry the area of the possible leak with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material
R No. 19-003).
R (b) Dry the area fully with a low pressure, dry and filtered air
R supply.
