 A. Safety Precautions WARNING : OBEY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN YOU DO WORK IN A FUEL TANK.

 You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001).

 (2)
 Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.

 (3) Put the safety barriers in position.

 B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).

 (2)
 Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003)

 (3) If necessary, extend the flaps fully (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008). R **ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-149, 151-199, 201-299, 401-499,

 C. Get Access
 (1)
 Put the adjustable access platform in position below the applicable access panel.

 (2)
 Remove the applicable access panels.

 (a)
 To get access to the front of the fuel tank, remove the applicable wing leading-edge access panels.

 (b)
 To get access to the rear of the fuel tank, remove the applicable wing trailing-edge access panels.

 (c)
 To get access to the center tank, remove the applicable belly fairing access panel.

 (3) If applicable, remove the fuel tank access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-
11-000-001) (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-
002).
 (4) Get access to the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
