(10)
Do a check of the engine fuel filter and the fuel filter bowl for signs of contamination of the fuel (AMM 73-11-02/601).
(a)
If you see no signs of contamination, do these steps: 1) Install the fuel filter cartridge (AMM 73-11-02/401). 2) Operate the airplane as usual.
(b)
If you see signs of contamination, do these steps: 1) Clean the filter bowl. 2) Replace the fuel filter cartridge (AMM 73-11-02/401). 3) Apply the full procedure described above again.
S 867-139
(11) If the engines do not operate correctly, or if contamination continues, you will possibly have to do more engine inspections and tests.
NOTE: Speak to the engine and APU manufacturer for more
____
procedures for their equipment.
S 287-140
(12) If you operated the engine for a long time with contaminated fuel, you must fully examine the engine fuel system, its components, and the turbine blades.
NOTE: Speak to the engine and APU manufacturer for the

INTEGRAL FUEL TANKS - APPROVED REPAIRS
______________________________________
1. General
_______
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1)
An analysis of the type of fuel leak and to find the applicable repair procedure
(2)
An analysis to find the cause of the leak
(3)
A task to keep and to mix the sealant compounds correctly
(4)
A task to let the sealant dry (cure) correctly
(5)
Repair of sealant leaks in the fuel tank structure (permanent repair from the inner surface of the tank)
(6)
Repair of fuel tank corrosion
(7)
A task to examine and to close the repaired fuel tanks
(8)
A task to put fuel into the repaired fuel tanks
(9)
Temporary repair of fuel leaks through fasteners (temporary repairs from the outer surface of the tank)
NOTE: These procedures are for temporary repairs only.____
____ You must do permanent repairs the subsequent time you go into the tank.
(10)
A task to repair O-rings and rubber seals
(11)
Repairs of the secondary fuel barrier sealant.
B. This procedure has data about how to prepare, to use, and to cure the sealant materials and the finish materials. This procedure also has data about how to apply finishes that prevent corrosion in the fuel tank. You can safely use the sealant and the recommended finish materials in this procedure together. For example, you can use the fully dry (cured) corrosion resistant finish as a primer layer (before you apply the sealant) or as a layer (that you can apply with a spray gun or brush) on the top of the sealant (topcoat). Remove (to the bare metal) the finishes applied before in the area of the sealant repair unless you know you can use the finish with the new sealant.
C. Before you repair a leak, you must do an analysis of the source and the cause of the leak. If the cause is related to structural damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual and do the structural repair before you apply the sealant.
D. To repair the corrosion resistant finish (topcoat) refer to
AMM 28-11-00/701.
