____ impact-resistant access doors and all new replacement access doors (AMM 28-11-11/801).

Connect the bonding jumper to the access panel.

Turn the panel through the opening and align it with the bolt holes.

Put the clamp ring in the correct position and install the bolts and the washers.

Tighten the bolts to a torque range of 10 to 20 pound-inches more than the run-on torque.


 NOTE:____Tighten each bolt with a small turn. Then tighten a different bolt with a small turn until you have the correct torque value for each bolt. The run-on torque is the torque necessary to turn the bolt against the friction of the threads (Fig. 402).

 (9)  Do a check of the electrical bond between the access panel and the airplane structure (SWPM 20-20-00).
 (a)  The resistance must not be more than 0.010 ohm.

 CENTER TANK SUMP DRAIN ASSEMBLY AND SUMP

 1.  General_______
 A.  The sump drain valve is a flapper type of check valve operated with a spring. It is installed in the center tank at the bottom of the second bay in the center of the bay.
 B.  The valve seat is part of the upper housing (Fig. 401). It is not easy to remove the seat. You must remove the sealant between the seal surfaces of the mounting flange before you remove the upper housing.
 C.  The sump drain assemblies can be of two different types, a tool-operated type and a rod-operated type.
