(b) PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE WITH THE T-HANDLE TYPE OF RESET; Do these steps to open the pressure relief valve: 1) Put a round rod with a diameter less than 0.415 inch (10.54
millimeters) into the pressure sense hole in the center of the T-handle. 2) Apply a moderate force to the rod to simulate the pressure differential necessary to open the pressure relief valve.

E. Removal Procedure
S 034-009
(1) Remove the mounting screws (Fig. 401).
(a)
Hold the clamp ring up to make sure it does not fall.
(b)
Remove the mounting screws.
(c)
Put the screws in a small container.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WITH THE CLAMP RING AND THE GASKET. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEM.
(2) Remove the clamp ring and the aluminum gasket, and put them in a flat container.

CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUSH THE PANEL FROM THE HOLE WITH A SHARP OBJECT. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ACCESS PANEL FLANGE AND THE EDGE OF THE HOLE, WHICH MUST SEAL TIGHTLY.
(3) Remove the access panel from the fuel tank.
(a) Push the access panel up.

(b)
If the panel does not move up freely, hit it lightly near the edge with a rubber mallet.
(c)
Remove the panel from the fuel tank.

(4) Install the rubber protector panel around the access panel hole.

3. Access Panels No. 1 thru 13 Installation (Fig. 401)

A. General
(1)
The No. 14 access panels, 65C38139-1/-2, have a flame arrestor/vent scoop installed on them. The No. 13 access panels 65C15617-2 have a pressure relief valve installed on them.
(2)
The No. 14 surge tank access panels with the flame arrestor/vent scoop must be installed with the No. 13 surge tank access panels with the pressure relief valve. If the flame arrestor becomes clogged, and there is no pressure relief valve, the wing can be damaged by the pressure differences.
