(1) Remove the seal from the door fully.
NOTE: If the seal cannot be removed from a Cast Aluminum access
____ panel, the access panel does not have a molded rubber seal that you can remove and replace. You must replace the full access panel. Only new Cast Aluminum access panels have molded rubber seals you can remove and replace.

(a) Rub the seal with the sandpaper to remove the parting agent.
NOTE: Rub carefully to make sure that the seal bonds to the

Remove the unwanted material with the aliphatic naphtha.
(c)
Clean the seal with the aliphatic naphtha and dry it.

(4) Prepare the seal groove.
(a) Clean the seal groove with a clean wiper moist with solvent,
Series 93 (AMM 20-30-93/210).
(b) Dry the seal groove with the air gun.
(c) Rub the groove with a wiper lightly moist with solvent, Series
93 (AMM 20-30-93/201).
(d) Apply the BMS 5-26 Class A sealant to the full width of the
seal groove (AMM 28-11-00/801).

(5) Install the seal and make sure it is tightly against the seal groove
in all positions.
