(5) Find the external leak point.
(a)
After the external leak point is found, use the Backblowing procedure to find the leak path.
(b)
Use Fig. 628 to help find the internal leak point.

(6) The internal leak point can be at one of these locations:
(a)
At a fastener fillet seal.
(b)
At a fastener self-sealing collar.
(c)
At a fillet seal at the terminal fitting and front spar web
(d)
At a fillet seal at the front spar web and the front spar chord.
(e)
At a fillet seal at the front spar chord and the wing skin.
(f)
At a fillet seal at the front spar chord and the chord splice plate.
(g)
At a fillet seal at the seal pan and wing structure.

Leaks can occur in the aft lower corner of the No. 1 or No. 2 tank. Leaks can occur in the aft outboard lower corner of the center tank.

External access is through the main wheel well and lower-aft wing-to-body fairing.

Leaks can occur when the No. 1 or No. 2 tank has 150 kg or more of fuel.
(a)
Leaks can occur when the center tank has 1000 kg or more of fuel.

These fuel quantities apply when the airplane is parked and level.
