WARNING:_______MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD FLOW OF AIR. OBEY ALL OF THE FIRE PRECAUTIONS WHEN YOU APPLY THE CORROSION RESISTANT FINISH. BAD INJURIES TO PERSONS CAN EASILY OCCUR.
(4) If you apply the corrosion resistant finish (topcoat) with a spray gun, do these steps:
(a)
Set the spray gun to 40 psi air pressure and 5-10 psi fluid pressure.
(b)
Apply the corrosion resistant finish with a spray gun on the surface.
(c)
Let the corrosion resistant finish dry for a minimum of 30 minutes.
(d)
Apply a second layer equivalent to the first layer.
(e)
Make sure the corrosion resistant finish you applied makes an overlap with all adjacent finish applied before.

(5) Apply the zinc-rich epoxy primer.
(a) Apply the primer with a spray gun or a brush.
NOTE: You must mix the zinc-rich primer almost continuously
____ while you apply it. If you do not continue to mix the primer, the zinc falls to the bottom of the container.
1) Apply a layer between 0.0015 and 0.0020 inches thick (to be measured when the primer is dry) to the bottom surface.
2) Continue to apply this layer of primer to height sufficient to put a layer on all surfaces of the bottom stringers that have no protection.

Let the zinc-rich primer dry (cure) for a minimum of one hour before you go into the tank.
(c)
After a maximum of 8 hours, put a top layer of BMS 10-20 on the zinc-rich primer. 1) The layer of BMS 10-20 must be between 0.0006 and 0.0016
inches thick.

(6) Clean the equipment and tools after you apply the corrosion
resistant finish (topcoat).

_______ YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM SOLVENTS. SOLVENTS ARE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. SOLVENTS MAY BE FLAMMABLE OR HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT. REFER TO PRODUCT MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS AND (MSDS) AND LOCAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPER HANDLING PROCEDURES.
(a)
Clean the equipment with solvent, Series 81 (AMM 20-30-81/201), immediately after you use it.
(b)
Soak the brushes in solvent, Series 81 (AMM 20-30-81/201), immediately after you use them.
NOTE: Discard the brushes when the bristles become rigid.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL OF THE MASKING TAPE AFTER YOU APPLY
_______ THE CORROSION RESISTANT FINISH. MASKING TAPE CAN CAUSE A BLOCKAGE OF THE SUCTION INLETS OF THE PUMPS AND PREVENT THE REMOVAL OF WATER.

Remove all of the masking tape that you applied.
