 (d) Connect the air hose to the air valve on the tank test door.
 CAUTION: FULLY DRAIN THE MANOMETER IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU DO THE
_______ PRESSURE CHECK IN COLD WEATHER. MAKE CORRECTION TO WATER COLUMN HEIGHT WHEN YOU USE ANTIFREEZE SOLUTION. FREEZING OR INCORRECT PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (e)  Fill the manometer with water to the fill mark on the manometer for the applicable pressure or vacuum (Fig. 615).
 NOTE: Colored water or a small floating ball makes it
____ easier to monitor the water level in the manometer. Use antifreeze solution in the manometer when the weather is cold.
 (f)  Open the air valve in the pressure source to apply the pressure.

 (8)  Find the internal leak source with one of the applicable procedures.
 NOTE: For example, do the Air Pressure and Bubble Procedure.

 I. Hollow Bolt Procedure to Use in Areas With Complex Structure
 S 796-085
 (1)  Do the hollow bolt and air bubble procedure (Try this procedure before you use the hollow bolt and dye injection procedure).
 WARNING: CAREFULLY DO ALL OF THE SAFETY PROCEDURES IN THE PURGING
_______ AND ENTRY PROCEDURE FOR THE FUEL TANK. INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (a)  
Do the procedure: Fuel Tank Purging and Entry (AMM 28-10-00/201), for the applicable tank.

 (b)  
Remove a good fastener and install the hollow bolt fastener in the fastener hole (Fig. 616). 1) Refer to the Structural Repair Manual for the correct


 removal and installation procedure.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE FUEL TANK VENTS ARE OPEN AND NOT BLOCKED.
_______ IF THE FUEL TANK IS CLOSED (ACCESS DOORS INSTALLED AND VENTS BLOCKED), THE FUEL TANK PRESSURE CAN INCREASE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (c)  
Close the clamp on the air bleed hose.

 (d)  
With the air bleed hose clamp closed, connect the regulated air pressure supply.

 (e)  
Connect the regulated air pressure supply.


 NOTE: The air supply must come through a F71329 leak
____ tracing device. Or there must be a safety relief manometer in the system.
 (f)  Apply the soap solution to area in the tank where you think the leak is.
 CAUTION: MONITOR THE EQUIPMENT CONTINUOUSLY TO MAKE SURE THE
_______ PRESSURE DOES NOT BECOME MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM OF 4 PSI. DAMAGE TO THE FUEL TANK CAN OCCUR.
 (g)  Supply air pressure with an air source, to the tracer, F71329 and look for air bubbles in the fuel tank.
