Do not touch the adapter for 15 minutes.
(f)
Remove the screw from the sealant loading port (Fig. 816).
(g)
Turn the screw in the sealant bleed port until only one turn will remove it.
(h)
Remove the pressure bolt.
(i)
Drain all collected fuel.
(j)
Install the pressure bolts (approximately 12 turns or 1/2 inch).
(k)
Put BMS 5-26 Type II Class A-2 sealant in the sealant loading port until it comes out of the sealant bleed port (Step 3, Fig. 817).
(l)
Install the screw in the sealant loading port.
(m)
Tighten the screw in the sealant bleed port.
(n)
Tighten the pressure bolt to 5 pound-inches.
(o)
Hold the pressure bolt at 5 pound-inches for 5 minutes.
(p)
Hit the sides of the adapter lightly with a small hammer or a mallet (Step 4, Fig. 817) to remove the adapter.

(a) Do not try to clean the adhesive from the wing surface.

H. Apply the Sealant to a Self-sealing Rivet with a Temporary Repair Tool (Fig. 815).

(1) Remove the paint from around the bad rivet with emery cloth that can remove chemical paint.

temporary repair tool (Fig. 815) when you use it.

Do these steps to do a temporary repair of the leak:
(a)
Fill the temporary repair tool with mixed BMS 5-26 Type II Class A-2 sealant.
(b)
Put the temporary repair tool into a small rivet gun.
(c)
Put the O-ring of the temporary repair tool on the wing surface at the identified location.
