 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
 (2) Make sure that the potable water tank and potable water lines R (Ref. TASK 12-24-38-680-001) or (Ref. TASK 12-24-38-680-002) are R drained.

 B. Get Access
 (1)
 Make sure that the access platform in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.

 (2)
 Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001) is open.

 (3)
 Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to ON position is set.

 (4)
 Make sure that in the FWD cargo compartment, the sidewall panel 131HW is removed.

 (5) Make sure that the insulation blanket from the valve (3) is removed. Subtask 38-14-41-865-054
 C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged

 4. Procedure

 (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 38-14-41-991-002) Subtask 38-14-41-420-051
 A. Installation of the Drain Valve
 (1)
 Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.

 (2)
 Install the valve (3) on its support (6). NOTE : Make sure that the lever of the valve (3) is in the SHUT

 position.

 (3)
 Install the washers (2) and the screws (1).

 (4)
 Connect the pipe (4) to the valve (3).

 (5)
 Connect the hose (11) to the valve (3).

 (6)
 Install the linkage (8) on the valve (3).

 (7)
 Install the pin (7), the washer (9) and the new cotter pin (10).

 (8)
 Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.

 (9)
 Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.

 (10) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the valve (3).

 Install the insulation blanket on the valve (3).
