In the Lavatories
(a)
Set the water temperature at the water faucet to COLD. Fill the washbasin with water (approximately 3l (0.79USgal)) until it flows down the overflow vent.
(b)
Empty the washbasin.
(c)
Set the water temperature at the water faucet to HOT. Fill the washbasin with water until it flows down the overflow vent.
(d)
Flush the toilet 15 times

In the Galleys
(a)
Operate the water faucets in the galleys and at the coffee makers/boilers and let 5l (1.3USgal) of water to flow out of each faucet.
(b)
Shut all the manual shutoff valves in the galleys and lavatories first, then close the fill and drain valves.
(10)
Let the disinfectant stay in the system for 0.5 hour.
(11)
If necessary, do the complete procedure a third time.
(a)
Fill the potable water system again manually with disinfectant solution until it flows from the POTABLE WATER OVERFLOW port (Ref. TASK 12-15-38-613-002).
(b)
Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
(c)
Let the disinfectant solution stay in the system for 0.5 hours.

Do the procedure in steps D. (7) thru (9), (a) again.
(13)
Disconnect and remove the CART - DESINFECTION, WATER.

PUT A GUARD AROUND THE WATER FAUCET OUTLET TO CAUSE SPRAY FROM THE SOLUTION TO FLOW INTO THE WASH BASIN (SPRAY FROM THE SOLUTION MUST NOT GO ON ADJACENT SURFACES).

Drain the potable water system (Ref. TASK 12-24-38-680-002).
(2)
Fill the potable water system with clean water (Ref. TASK 12-15-38-613-002).
(3)
Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
(4)
Operate the water faucet in the lavatories to flush them.
(5)
Operate the water faucets in the galleys and the coffee
makers/boilers to flush them.
(6)
Push the toilet flush switch in the lavatories to flush them.
(7) Do steps E.(1) thru (6) again. Subtask 38-10-00-170-051
F. Flush the Potable Water System (after sanitation with Herlisil (H2O2) (Herlisil)), (H BIO T50) or (ELSIL)
(1)
Drain the potable water system (Ref. TASK 12-24-38-680-002).

Fill the potable water system with clean water (Ref. TASK 12-15-38-613-002).
(3)
Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. TASK 38-10-00-614-001).

Operate the water faucet in the lavatories to flush them.
(5)
Operate the water faucets in the galleys and the coffee
makers/boilers to flush them.

Push the toilet flush switch in the lavatories to flush them.

Do steps F.(1) thru (6) a minimum of two times to make sure that there is no remaining disinfectant in the system.

Flush each toilet 5 times.

Open the water faucet in the lavatories for three minutes to bleed the system.
(3)
Open all of the water faucets in the galleys and at the coffee makers/boilers for three minutes to bleed the system.
