A. Installation of the Drain Limit Switch 3MP
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 38-14-17-991-001)
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Remove the nut (1) and the washer (2) from the new drain limit switch 3MP (5).
(4)
Make sure that the O-ring (4) is installed on the drain limit switch.
(5)
Put the drain limit switch 3MP (5) in position in the bracket (3).
(6)
Install the stainless steel lockwire MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009) in the hole of the washer (2).
(7)
Install the washer (2) and the nut (1). NOTE : The axis of the drain limit switch (5) must align with the

Safety the nut (1) with the stainless steel lockwire MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009) from the washer (2).
(9)
Pull the control handle (3254MM) out 30.0 +2 -2 mm (1.1811 +0.0787 -0.0787 in.) and listen for the drain limit switch 3MP (5) to klick, if necessary adjust the switch (Ref. TASK 38-14-00-820-002).

Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.

Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.

Connect the electrical connector 3MP-A (6).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Install the floor-panel 161DW (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
R R (3) In the AFT cargo compartment, on the control panel 5024VU set the light switch 30LU to the OFF position.
R (4) Remove the access platform(s).
R (5) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
R (6) Close the access door 171AL.
NOTE : Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and that the____ door makes a continuous surface with the skin of the aircraft.
