In the AFT cargo compartment, on the control panel 5024VE set the light switch 30LU to the OFF position.

Remove the access platform(s).

Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(6)
Close the access door 171AL. NOTE : Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and that the
____ door makes a continuous surface with the skin of the aircraft.
(7)
Remove the access platform(s).
(8)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

Put an access platform in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door

(2)
Open the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to ON position.
(4)
In the FWD cargo compartment, remove the sidewall panel 131HW.
(5) Remove the insulation blanket from the valve (3).

A. Removal of the Drain Valve
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the valve (3).
(2)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3)
Remove and discard the cotter pin (10) and remove the washer (9).
(4)
Remove the pin (7) and disconnect the linkage (8).
(5)
Disconnect the hose (11).
(6)
Disconnect the pipe (4).
(7)
Remove the screws (1) and the washers (2).
(8)
Remove the valve (3).
(9)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
