A. Preparation before Installation WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS
_______ CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
R (1) Put the nozzle assys in vinegar to remove unwanted material.
R NOTE : If necessary use a nonmetallic stiff-bristled brush to remove____
R the material.
R (2) Clean the nozzle assys with clean water.
R (3) Dry the nozzle assys and clean them in alcohol (min. 70%).

R B. Installation of the Nozzle Assy
R NOTE : The procedure for the installation of the nozzle assy is the same____
R for all of the lavatories.
R (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (3) Install the washer (2) onto the nozzle (3).
R (4) Use the special key AQUA BUTZKE P/N 90-1002-03 (4) to install the
R nozzle assy (5) in the water-faucet outlet (1).

R C. Leak Check
R (1) If necessary fill the potable water system (Ref. TASK 12-15-38-613-
R 001)
R (2) If necessary pressurize the potable water system (Ref. TASK 38-10-00-
R 614-001).
R (3) In the lavatory, turn the potable-water shut-off valve to the OPEN
R position.
R (4) In the lavatory, operate the water faucet until water flows into the
R washbasin.
R (5) Examine the fittings and the water faucet for leaks.
R NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.____
R (6) Release the pressure from the potable water system (Ref. TASK 38-10-
R 00-614-002).
R (7) Dry the area of the washbasin and the water faucet with a clean
R cloth.

R A. Close Access
R (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other
R items.
R (2) Remove the warning notice(s).
R (3) Remove the hoses from the drain masts 4DU and 14DU.
R (4) Remove the containers from below the drain masts.

R B. De-energize the ground service network

QUANTITY INDICATING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

The quantity indicating system gives a visual indication of how much water
is available in the potable water tank. The indicating system is installed
to assist the ground and cabin service personnel.
