R CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN_______
R YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE
R THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO
R MUCH.
R CAUTION : YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS
_______ R LUBRICANT.
R (1) Put the manifold (1) in position on the aircraft and install the
R bolts (2) and the washers (3). Do not tighten the bolts (2).
R (2) Remove the blanking plugs from the pipe end-fittings and the unions
R on the manifold (1).
R (3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
R (4) Apply the HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the threads of
R the line end-fittings.
R (5) Connect the pipe (13) to the union (15).
R (6) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (14) to between 2.9 and 3.2 m.daN (21.38
R and 23.59 lbf.ft).
R (7) Connect the pipe (16) to the union (18).
R (8) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (17) to between 2.9 and 3.2 m.daN (21.38
R and 23.59 lbf.ft).
R (9) Connect the pipe (12) to the union (10).
R (10) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (11) to between 2.9 and 3.2 m.daN (21.38
R and 23.59 lbf.ft).
R (11) Connect the tee-piece (7) and the attached pipes to the union (9).
R (12) TORQUE the union nut (8) to between 5.4 and 5.9 m.daN (39.82 and
R 43.51 lbf.ft).
R (13) Connect the pipe (6) to the union (4).
R (14) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (5) to between 5.4 and 5.9 m.daN (39.82
R and 43.51 lbf.ft).
R (15) Tighten the bolts (2).

R C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit
breaker(s):

Subtask 29-19-41-860-057 R D. Preparation for the Test
(1)
Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3)
Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(4)
Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system
(Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(5)
On the maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B pushbutton switch is set to on (OFF light not on).

R E. Test
(1)
Make sure there are no leaks from any of the connections or from the manifold.
(2)
Turn the three manual selector valves from the CLOSED to the OPEN position and back to the CLOSED position. Make sure that the valves are free to turn and have no leaks.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1)
Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system
(Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(3)
Remove the container from below the manifold (1).
(4)
Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.

B. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the access door 195BB.
