(a)
Hold the depressurization valve (4) and remove the reducer (2).
(b)
Remove and discard the O-ring (3).
(c)
Put blanking plugs on the reducer (2) and the depressurization valve (4).
(2)
Install the removed parts on the depressurization valve as follows:
(a)
Remove the blanking plugs from the depressurization valve (4) and the reducer (2).
(b)
Lubricate the threads of the reducer (2) and the O-ring (3) with HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003).
(c)
Put the O-ring (3) in position on the reducer (2).
(d)
Install the reducer (2).
(e)
TORQUE the reducer (2) to between 3.20 and 3.50 m.daN (23.59 and
25.81 lbf.ft).
(3)
Make sure that the contact surface of the depressurization valve (4) and the ground service panel is clean.
(4)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-015) to the contact surface of the depressurization valve (4).
(5)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the bolts (5). Subtask 29-14-16-420-051
B.
Installation of the Reservoir Depressurization Valve CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN
_______ YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION : YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS

LUBRICANT.
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Install the depressurization valve (4) in the ground service panel.
(4)
Install the bolts (5) and the nuts (6) and tighten them.
(5)
Apply STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-003) to the sealant around the depressurization valve (4).
(6)
Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(7)
Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the thread of the line end-fitting.
(8)
Connect the line end-fitting (1) to the reducer (2).
(9)
TORQUE the line end-fitting (1) to between 1.5 and 1.7 m.daN (11.06 and 12.53 lbf.ft).
(10) Safety the cap assembly of the depressurization valve with lockwire, corrosion resistant steel 1.2 mm (0.047 in.).

C. Test
(1)
Make sure that the depressurization valve (4) is closed.
(2)
Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004) to the connection of the pipe end-fitting (1) and the reducer (2) and make sure that there are no leaks.

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)

Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1831GQ, 1832GQ, 2701GJ, 2702GJ.
