When you work near the RAT, you must install the RAT safety device.

A. Installation of the Safety Device
(Ref. Fig. 203/TASK 29-22-00-991-004)
(1)
Put the safety block (5) SAFETY DEVICE - RAT (98D29207542000) in position between the RAT (1) and the aircraft structure (2).
(2)
Put the thrust block (4) in position against the aircraft structure
(2) and tighten the screw (3).
(3)
Make sure that the signal flag (6) hangs outside of the aircraft so that you can clearly see it.
