A. Installation of the Safety Device
(Ref. Fig. 204/TASK 29-22-00-991-020)
(1)
Put the SAFETY DEVICE - RAT (98D29208246001) (6) in position between the RAT (1) and the structure (2).
(2)
Move the thrust piece (7) apart so that the ends of the SAFETY DEVICE
-RAT (98D29208246001) (6) are on the structure (2).
(3)
Tighten the cross handle (3) to keep the SAFETY DEVICE - RAT (98D29208246001) in position.
CAUTION : TO PREVENT A LIFT UP OF THE RAT, MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST
_______ PLATE DOES NOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE RAT.
(4)
Turn the cross handle (4) in the clockwise direction until there is clearance of at least 1 mm (0.0393 in.) between the thrust plate (8) and the RAT (1).
(5)
Make sure that the signal flag (5) hangs outside of the aircraft so that you can see it.
