Make sure that the clogging indicator (1) stays in during the test.
(2)
Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004) to the connection of the water separator (3) and make sure that there is no leak.

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
-In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
-On the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
(2)
Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3)
Depressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4)
Put a container below the water separator.
(5)
Drain the fluid from the water separator into the container.
(6)
Remove the container.

A. Removal of the Filter Element of the Water Separator
(1) Hold the water separator (3) and remove the bolts (4).
(2) Remove the water separator (3) from the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
R (3) Remove the packings (5) and (6).
R (4) Remove the filter element (7) with the packing (8).
(5) Install blankings plugs in the water separator (3) and the reservoir pressurization unit (2).
R R (6) Do a check for the condition of the packings (5), (6) and (8). If necessary replace them.
