A. Preparation for the Adjustment
(1)
Remove and discard the cotter pin (24). Remove the nut (23), the washers (22), (21) and the bolt (20). Disconnect the inner (RH) door from its operating link (11).
(2)
Remove and discard the cotter pin (14), remove the nut (15), the washers (16), (17) and the bolt (18). Disconnect the outer (LH) door from its operating link (8).
(3)
Secure the two doors clear of the operating range of the RAT.
(4)
With the ground hydraulic supply, pressurize the Blue hydraulic system to 100 +10 -10 bar (1450.3770 +145.0377 -145.0377 psi) (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(5)
Keep the hydraulic pressure constant, and retract the RAT (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-869-002).
(6)
Install the SAFETY DEVICE - RAT (98D29207542000) (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-860-001).
NOTE : Make sure that the safety device does not lift the RAT above
____ its stowed position. If it does it will affect the adjustment of the doors.
Subtask 29-22-00-820-060
B. Adjustment of the RAT Actuator
(1) Measure the dimensions "A" and "B". Make sure that they are as specified:
-
the dimension "A" must be between 45 mm (1.7716 in.) and 50 mm (1.9685 in.),
-
the dimension "B" must be between 10 mm (0.3937 in.) and 17 mm (0.6692 in.).
NOTE : The values for the dimension "A" and "B" are measured with RAT
____ doors disconnected from the RAT leg. When the rigging procedure of the RAT is completed, the value of the dimension "A" becomes smaller and the value of the dimension "B" becomes larger.
