A. Operational Test WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE RAT TRAVEL RANGE IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU

EXTEND/RETRACT THE RAT.
NOTE : Make sure that a second person examines the extension of the RAT
____
before you push the RAT MAN ON pushbutton.
NOTE : Do not operate the RAT deployment solenoids for more than 60
____ seconds. You can operate them more than once during the test. When the total operation time (solenoid energized) is 60 seconds, you must let the solenoids cool for 30 minutes.
(1) Do this test

-lift the cover and push the RAT - the RAT extends.

Make sure that the clogging indicator of the RAT filter is not popped out.

C. Preparation for the Test
(1) Install the PROTECTION EQUIPMENT - RAT (98D29207550001).
R (2) Connect the CONTROL UNIT - RAT (682003008) to the ground test
R connector of the RAT ground control-panel 2815GE.

R (3) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system with the ground power cart
(Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
R NOTE : For the test of the function of the RAT-governor with the____
R overspeed protection, a system flow (dynamic) of 95 l.min
R (25.0961 USgal.mn) at 206 bar (2987.7766 psi) is necessary.
R Thus, the capacity of the ground power cart must be not less
than 130 l.min (34.3420 USgal.mn) at 206 bar (2987.7766 psi).
R (4) On the maintenance panel 50VU, set the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B
R pushbutton switch to the OFF position.
R (5) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
R (6) On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, push the HYD
pushbutton. Make sure that the HYD page on the lower ECAM DU comes
into view.

R (1) Make sure that the pressure of the ground power cart is not less than
R 206 +3 -0 bar (2987.7766 +43.5113 -0.0000 psi).

R (2) Make sure that the flow from the ground power cart is not less than
R 95 l.min (25.0961 USgal.mn).
R (3) Make sure that the by-pass of the ground power cart is fully closed.
