Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

Depressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5)
Extend the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-869-001).

A. Removal of the Filter Element CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE PART YOU REMOVE IS THE FILTER PLUG. IF YOU
_______ REMOVE OTHER PARTS YOU CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE RAT.
(1) Remove the filter element (Ref. TASK 29-22-51-000-004).

B. Inspection of the Filter Element
(1)
Examine the filter element for metal particles and damage.
(2)
If you find metal particles in the filter element, you must replace the RAT (Ref. TASK 29-22-51-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 29-22-51-400-001).
(3)
If the filter element is damaged, discard it. Subtask 29-22-00-420-051
C.
Install a new or cleaned filter element as required (Ref. TASK 29-22-51-400-004).
NOTE : Make sure that the filter element is clean and not damaged.

E. Ultrasonic Cleaning Procedure of the Filter Element

_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.

Put the filter element into a bath of CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) to remove the grease.
(2)
Remove the filter element from the cleaning agent and examine it for damage. If it is damaged, discard the filter element.

Clean the filter element ultrasonically or chemically as written below.
For the ultrasonic cleaning procedure:

Clean the filter element ultrasonically to local regulations. NOTE : Make sure that the open end of the filter element points down
