A. Installation of the Lavatory Smoke Detector CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE AIR EXTRACTION GRILL, THE SMOKE DETECTOR AND
_______ THE AIR EXTRACTION DUCT ARE IN LINE WITH THE EXTRACTOR AIRFLOW. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE MALFUNCTION OF THE SMOKE DETECTOR.
(1)
Make sure that the packing (11) is in the correct conndition.
(2)
Carefully install the packing (11) with the smoke detector (10) to the air-extraction hood (3).
(3)
Install the screws (9), the washers (8,5), the lanyards (6) and the nuts (4).
(4)
Make sure that the seal (13) on the air-extraction pipe (14) is in the correct conndition.
(5)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.

Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(7)
Connect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (7) to the smoke detector (10).
(8)
Carefully put the air extraction-hood (3) together with the smoke detector (10) in position on the ceiling panel (12) and install the screws (1).

(1)
Make sure that the packing (6) is in the correct condition.
(2)
Carefully install the packing (6) with the smoke detector (5) to the air-extraction hood (8).
(3)
Install the screws (9), the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(4)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(5)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(6)
Connect the electrical connector 1WQ-A (4) to the smoke detector (5).
(7)
Carefully put the air extraction-hood (8) together with the smoke detector (5) in position on the ceiling panel (1) and install the screws (7).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 11WQ, 12WQ, 153RH, 162RH.

(1) Do the operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. TASK 26-17-00-710-001).

(2)
Install the air-extraction grill (10) on the air-extraction hood (8).
