A. Removal of the Smoke Detector
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 26-15-15-991-001)
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the smoke detector (1).
(2)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3)
Hold the smoke detector (1) and loosen the locknut (7) to fully release the clamp (6).
(4)
Pull the smoke detector (1) vertically away from the ventilation duct (5).
(5)
Remove the protective strip (9) and the band (8) from the smoke detector (1).
(6)
Remove and discard the O-rings (3) from the couplings (4).
(7)
Put blanking plugs on the couplings (4) and on the openings of the smoke detector (1).
