D. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform at the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(2)
Open the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3)
Remove the access panel 162DW.
(4)
Remove the air inlet grill from the access panel 151EW.

E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the overhead panel 22VU, make sure that the AFT ISOL VALVE pushbutton switch is on (the OFF light off).
(2)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3)
Make sure that the ENGINE/WARNING page shows on the ECAM upper display unit.
(4)
On the ECAM control panel, push the COND pushbutton switch and make sure that the COND page shows on the ECAM lower display unit.
(5)
On one MCDU get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST FIRE PROT menu (Ref. TASK 31-32-00-860-005).
NOTE : You must visually monitor the two isolation valves in the AFT

cargo compartment during the test.

A. Test of the Cargo-Compartment Smoke-Detection System
NOTE : Make sure that the SDCU is supplied with power for at least one

minute before you start the test.

push the line key adjacent to - the SDCU page comes on.

push the line key adjacent to - the SDCU TEST REPORT page comes on the SMOKE LOOPS AFT LDCC and shows: indication. SMOKE LOOPS AFT LDCC
LOOP A: OK /B: OK TEST OK CK ECAM & OVHT PNL WARN
On the glareshield panels 130VU and 131VU:
-
the MASTER WARNING lights flash and a continuous repetitive chime is heard.
On the overhead panel 22VU:
-
the CARGO SMOKE AFT light comes on.
On the ECAM upper display unit:
-SMOKE AFT CARGO SMOKE

-push the EMERG CANCEL
pushbutton.
3. On the MCDU:
-push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.

On the circuit breaker panel 49VU: 31 HN ( C7 ) "CTL MONG" : - open the circuit breaker, wait
10 seconds and close the circuit breaker.
5.
On the MCDU:
-push the line key MCDU MENU.
-AFT ISOL VALVE .... OFF come on.
In the AFT cargo compartment:
-
the two isolation valves close.
-
the extraction fan stops.
On the glareshield panels 130VU and131VU:
-
the MASTER WARNING lights go off.
-
the continuous repetitive chime stops.
On the MCDU:
-
the SDCU TEST page comes on.
On the overhead panel 22VU:
-
the CARGO SMOKE AFT light goes off.
On the ECAM upper display unit:
-SMOKE AFT CARGO SMOKE goes off.
In the AFT cargo compartment:
-
the two isolation valves open.
-
the extraction fan operates afterapprox. 15 s.
On the MCDU:
-
the MCDU MENU page comes on.
All warnings and indications are cancelled.
