A. Installation of the Lavatory Smoke Detector CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE AIR EXTRACTION GRILL, THE SMOKE DETECTOR AND
_______ THE AIR EXTRACTION DUCT ARE IN LINE WITH THE EXTRACTOR AIRFLOW. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE MALFUNCTION OF THE SMOKE DETECTOR.
(1)
Carefully install the packing (12) with the smoke detector (13) to the air extraction hood (8).
(2)
Install the screws (1), the washers (2,5), the lanyards (3) and the nuts (6).
(3)
Carefully put the air extraction hood (8) with the smoke detector
(13) in position on the ceiling panel and install the screws (9).
(4)
Carefully push the air extraction grill (7) into the air extraction hood (8).
(5)
Remove the blanking plugs from the line ends.
(6)
Connect the hose (11) to the air extraction hood (8) and tighten the clamp (10).
(7)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(8)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(9)
Connect the electrical connector 5WQ-A (4) to the smoke detector (13).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 11WQ, 12WQ.

(1) Do an operational test of the lavatory smoke-detection system (Ref. TASK 26-17-00-710-001).
