A. Removal of the Smoke Detector
WARNING : DO NOT TRY TO OPEN OR REPAIR THE SMOKE DETECTORS.
_______ THE DETECTOR CONTAINS RADIOACTIVE AMERICIUM 241 OF APPROXIMATELY 0.4 MICROCURIES. ONLY WORKSHOPS AUTHORIZED BY THE MANUFACTURER CAN DO WORK ON THE SMOKE DETECTORS.
NOTE : The removal procedure is the same for all smoke detectors.

Remove the ceiling smoke channels for access to the grid (2).
(2)
Release the quick release fasteners (1).
(3)
Remove the grid (2).
(4)
Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the smoke detector (6).
