(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) has been shutdown for at least 5 minutes.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Install a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

A. Removal of the Core Fire Detectors CAUTION : REMOVE THE FIRE DETECTORS AND THE RAIL AS ONE ASSEMBLY. THE
_______ FIRE DETECTOR SENSOR ELEMENTS CAN BE DAMAGED IF NOT SUPPORTED BY THE RAIL.
(1)
Disconnect the rail assembly from the engine brackets, as follows:
(a) Turn the screw (10) on the center mount clamp (15), then move the clamps (15) out of the brackets (30) (10 locations). Use a phillips head screwdriver.
(2)
Remove the wire harness (FIN 4204KS) from the Loop A fire-detector sensor (4001WD1): (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 26-12-17-991-300)
(a)
Remove the nut (50) from terminal C of the fire detector sensor (5). Remove the wire (55) from the terminal.
