THE WORN OR DAMAGED AREAS MAY BE REPAIRED TO A DEPTH OF 0.0020 INCHES ALONG ALL THE SHANK LENGTH. GRIND, MACHINE OR POLISH TO GET THE NECESSARY SURFACE. NO WORK IS PERMITTED ON THE THREADS OR THE THREAD RUNOUT OR IN THE HEAD TO THE SHANK FILLET. THE AXIAL LENGTH OF THE REPAIR CANNOT BE MORE THAN 10% OF THE GRIP LENGTH.

(a)
Do the applicable task to get access to the inspection area: "Forward Lower Engine Mount Removal" (AMM 71-21-01/401) or "Aft Lower Engine Mount Removal" (AMM 71-21-02/401).
(b)
Make sure that the barrel nuts in the front of the lower engine mount are free from damage.
