Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Do a cycle of these circuit breakers to the open position and then the closed position: 1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel

 a) 7C1 FMCS FMC L b) 7C23 FMCS FMC R

 (c)  
Show the PERF INIT page on the CDU. 1) Push the INIT/REF key. 2) Push the line select key (LSK) adjacent to the <INDEX

 prompt to show the INIT/REF INDEX page. 3) Push the LSK adjacent to the <PERF prompt to show the PERF INIT page.

 (d)  
Make sure ACTIVE shows in the space directly below SPARE ENG on the PERF INIT page.

 (14) If the engine is to be put in storage, do the drying procedure for the bearing compartment (AMM 71-00-03/201) (optional).
 NOTE: Water can condense in the engine bearing compartments both
____ during and after the flight where the engine is ferried. This occurs because of temperature and pressure changes and can cause corrosion on parts of the bearings. If the engine turns freely, the engine will be lubricated sufficiently to decrease the possible damage. You must do the drying procedure for the bearing compartment in areas of high humidity.

The twelve screws removed from the fan exit fairing

 (b)
The fan rotor blades and blade locks

 (c)
The starter and two clamps

 (d)
The start valve

 (e)
The starter QAD adapter

 

 (2)
Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-04/201).
