Install the lift pads (6 and 9) to the core cowl panel (4) with the bolts (5 and 8).
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE BOLTS THAT ATTACH THE CORE COWL SLING TO THE
_______ CORE COWL PANEL ARE TIGHT. THE LEFT PANEL WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 110 POUNDS (50 KGS). THE RIGHT PANEL WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 90 POUNDS (41 KGS). IF THE CORE COWL PANEL FALLS, AN INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(d) Make sure the bolts (5 and 8) are tightened to the lift pads (6 and 9).

Remove the boom hoist (1) away from the engine.

Lower the core cowl panels.
(15)
Adjust the latches for the core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-07/501).
