S 864-102-N00
(1)
Make sure the airplane is in the configuration from the Prepare for the Power Plant Removal procedure.
S 234-052-N00
(2)
Get new vertical tension bolts (1, 2, and 12) or ones which are examined (Fig. 411).
(a)
Do a fluorescent penetrant inspection of the vertical tension bolts (1, 2, and 12) (AMM 70-31-01/201).
(b)
Examine the threads of the vertical tension bolts (1, 2, and 12) to make sure you can apply a satisfactory locking torque when used with a satisfactory nut.
(c)
Discard all vertical tension bolts (1, 2, and 12) with damage which you can feel with a fingernail or thread damage you can see.
S 644-103-N00
(3)
Apply the antiseize compound to the threads and the shanks of the vertical tension bolts (1, 2, and 12) (Fig. 411).
S 214-104-N00
(4)
Make sure you can tighten the self-locking torque of the barrel nuts (5) to a minimum of 70 pound-inches (7.9 newton-meters) (Fig. 411).
(a) If the barrel nut cannot hold the minimum torque, replace and examine again the self-locking torque.
S 214-178-N00
(5)
Make sure you can tighten the self-locking torque of the nuts (9) to a minimum of 70 pound-inches (7.9 newton-meters) (Fig. 411).
(a) If the nut cannot hold the minimum torque, replace and examine again the self-locking torque.
(6)
Examine the engine mounts (AMM 71-21-00/601).
